Here we have a son, and for that a wilderness. We, new parents both, have hope in the ancient wisdom that by turning into parents we know God a little better: whether by providing food the child will never appreciate, or by forgiving unimaginable evils, abiding nonetheless. These, we imagine, are some of the peculiar graces we're promised.

Beautiful! We're still awaiting the arrival of our little boy over here - but I can't wait to introduce our boys to each other soon!
Son,
I finally got to a computer to see your wonderful pictures. Time is short so I can not write much (remember, no apostrophe in Italy).
He is even more beautiful than I could ever imagine. I am so very proud of you two.
See you in October!!
Love,
Mom
