Happy Families Are All Alike.

A nice little family.

Jonah & Mimi. That is, Merna.

A proud Mimi and her sleeping grandson.

Man, he's cute. She is too.

In a few years, he'll kill me for posting this. Yes, that's poo in there.

We're working on the sympathy angle here. For a few hours each day, I walk around trying to learn what pregnancy felt like. This, and I bitch at anyone I want to. (Just kidding, honey.)

Do fathers and sons ever understand one another?

These are our neighbors, sisters, Jillian, the eldest, and Hillary, the one laughing.

Hey, Mimi, tell me a joke.

I don't get it.

Can somebody explain that?

Oh, hey, that's pretty funny.

Yeah. That was hilarious. Good one, Mimi.

GrandDad holds his grandson.

They look good together.

The dogs still hate how we neglect them. Pitiful, really.

The grandparents have all come and gone, and now we in Pittsburgh are back only with ourselves. And so...
Some natural tears they dropped but wiped them soon.
The world was all before them, where to choose
Their place of rest, and Providence their guide.
They hand in hand with wand'ring steps and slow
Through Eden took their solitary way.
