Here we have a son, and for that a wilderness. We, new parents both, have hope in the ancient wisdom that by turning into parents we know God a little better: whether by providing food the child will never appreciate, or by forgiving unimaginable evils, abiding nonetheless. These, we imagine, are some of the peculiar graces we're promised.
Congratulations Alli and Carlos. He is so precious. You are right, now you start your graduate course in unconditional love, learning to be more like our Savior.
